Lawn mower nerves,
& lips just like a record player on the fritz
Buddha patience wearing thin as
to take deep breathes
but only breath in the hot steamy air of the room
My throat is a wasteland
a desert without water
& I am a pauper forced to be an actor
my subsistence is an abandoned bird.
